Just the other day I wrote a post concerning our thoughts. You may recall that I mentioned that we process over 50,000 thoughts a day.
So with all this confusion in our mind, how do you stay on purpose?
50,000 thoughts a day…oh my
Wallace Wattles writes, a person can form things in his thoughts, and by impressing his thought upon the formless substance, can cause the thing he thinks about to be created.
He also goes on to say, “You must dwell upon this until it is fixed in your mind and has become your habitual thought.”
So why is it so hard to stay on purpose?
Let me tell you my experience. I’ve been wanting more of that green stuff flowing into my life. So my first step was to ask the universe for what I wanted.
Let’s just say the universe must be wearing hearing protection in my case.
So does the law of attraction not work?
The Science of Getting Rich is a science, just like baking a cake; you have to do everything in a certain order and with all the ingredients.
So where have I gone wrong?
I didn’t stay on purpose.
I looked back over the past months of this year and see that I would forget about the monetary amount I asked for and then I’d get sidetracked and want something similar but different.
And then I want to lose weight, too.
Man, this is confusing for me, so just imagine what the universe was thinking.
So what have I changed?
I’ve written down exactly how much money I want and when I want it by.
I set up a screensaver so that I think about my desire.
I take a moment each day to see myself with the green stuff in my hands.
I act if I already have it.
I totally have ownership of the thought and have unquestionable belief I will get it.
As Wattles writes, “Fix every word upon your memory, and mediate upon them until you firmly believe.”
One of the reasons I set up this Blog was to keep me on purpose and share my thoughts, failures, and success with you.
I didn’t take a shortcut to my goal; I got on a side path that was going another direction.
There are no short cuts and side paths don’t get you where you want to go. You have to believe from the heart that The Science of Getting Rich and these concepts work.
They’ve worked for thousands of others so why would it be any different for me?
